THE YAMIVIO FIELD GUIDE / 01

Singer, Lyrics, Remix, Repaint or Create?

Choose the workflow by what you have and what you want to change—not by a tool name alone.

The short answer

Use Singer for a different vocal character, Lyrics for new words in an existing song, Remix for a new arrangement, and Repaint for one selected passage. Use Create when you do not have a source song and want a new song from complete lyrics and a musical brief.

Compare the five workflows

Inputs and intended changes in the current Yamivio studios
ToolWhat you supplyWhat you want to change
SingerA voice reference and a target songThe vocal character of the target performance
LyricsA source song and complete replacement lyricsThe sung words across an existing song
RemixA source song, arrangement brief and optional style referenceThe arrangement, groove, instruments or musical intensity
RepaintA source song, IN/OUT times and local directionA selected region of the audio
CreateComplete lyrics, a musical brief and a preset or authorized voice referenceCreate a new song rather than edit a source recording

Start with the material you already have

If you have an existing recording, decide whether the change is a voice, words, an arrangement or one passage. That distinction avoids sending a whole-song arrangement task when only a few seconds need attention.

If you only have lyrics and an idea for the music, start with Create. Its current studio requires complete lyrics; a musical prompt alone is not a complete submission. You can choose a preset vocal character instead of uploading a voice reference.

Choose Singer when the voice is the main change

Singer takes two separate files: the desired voice reference and the target performance. Choose a clear reference with one intended voice and listen to both inputs before generating. It is not a text-to-song workflow, and it does not grant permission to use another person's voice.

Choose Lyrics when the story needs new words

Lyrics fits complete replacement words to an existing song. Preserve section order and keep line lengths close to the original phrasing. This is not a standalone text-lyrics generator: the source audio and full replacement lyric are part of the workflow.

Choose Remix for a different musical direction

Remix explores changes to arrangement, instruments, groove and intensity. Describe what should change and what should remain recognizable. Its preservation, energy and creativity controls guide generation rather than guarantee an exact tempo or note-for-note melody.

Choose Repaint for a focused local revision

Repaint lets you specify a region using IN and OUT times in seconds. Use it when most of the track works and a passage needs another direction. Listen across both boundaries as well as the edited region. Do not assume a generative revision guarantees sample-level identity outside an edit.

Choose Create to start a new song

Create combines complete lyrics, a musical brief and a vocal direction. Explain mood, instrumentation and how the verse and chorus should develop. Keep sung words in the lyric field. Review the result as a version to listen to and refine, not automatically a finished master.

Combine tools deliberately

An example plan is to start a new song in Create, explore an alternative arrangement in Remix and then revise a selected passage in Repaint. If the wording is the main issue, choose Lyrics instead of asking an arrangement prompt to rewrite it.

This is an illustrative workflow, not a tested audio demonstration or a promise that quality improves at every stage. Save the original and each intermediate version. Repeated generation can also change details you liked, so compare one decision at a time.

Before submitting or publishing

Tool availability, processing time and results can vary. A successful task does not grant rights to third-party material or guarantee publication-ready production quality.

Frequently asked questions

Which tool do I need if I only have written lyrics?

Choose Create for a new song. Lyrics is for replacing words in an existing source recording.

Which tool changes just a few seconds?

Choose Repaint and select the region in seconds. Listen to both joins after rendering.

Should I use all five tools on every project?

No. Use the smallest workflow that addresses your goal. Extra stages introduce more changes to review and may require additional points.
